Napoleonic French command base

26 Sep

As promised in yesterdays post… here are the shots of the finished French command base. The minis are based to represent an army commander in Republic to Empire.

Many thanks to Davout on the Sweetwater Forum for pointing out that I had painted some of the minor details wrong… that way I fix those mistakes!

Looks great. A nice addition to your tabletop actions.

I have used HQ bases for many years under my group’s napoleonic rules. All Corp, Wing, Army and even Nation level commanders have them. Each base has the actual officer/commander who dovetails into his command base. Bases are different sizes for the command level of the officer/commander. Their function is to maintain the LOC for the senior commanders in Multi-corp level gaming.
Examples on my blog page under the Nap TV section tab…at the far bottom photographs. There is also a Youtube video link in section #3 covering the HQ bases.

Again….excellent work. Look forward to your next project when posted to TMP.
